Another organizing post coming your way this week and this was one was born out of necessity! Our narrow kitchen pantry houses canned and boxed goods, plastic wrap, treats, and anything with a shelf life. But it was a mess. And I was re-buying things I already had. Not to mention finding expired products when I did bother to rummage through it. So I decided to take it on and finally get it all organized! How to Organize a Small Pantry! Take Everything Out! And I mean EVERYTHING! Warning: your kitchen will get messy! Make sure to give your shelves a wipe down and/or add in some shelf liner paper. I use a brand called Macbeth Collection which is self-adhesive (and wipeable!) Purge (and check Expiration Dates!) If your pantry is like mine, you'll be amazed at what you'll ... [ Read More ]
How to Organize a Small Art Station for Kids!
You asked and I answered! In my first post of 2019 (how is it 2019 already?!) I asked about what types of posts you'd like to see. The verdict so far? Organization! And to be honest, January is the perfect month for organizational posts as everyone (including myself!) is all about cleaning, purging and getting the new year off with a fresh start! That being said, today's post is about an art station I set up in the corner of our dining room for our kiddo. How to Organize a Small Art Station for Kids! We set up a little table and chair set we bought eons ago in the corner of our dining room to serve as a small art station that can be converted to extra dining space should other little ones come over and dine with us. My Kitchen Nook "Before" Here's what my kitchen nook looks like on a regular basis after it got its mini-makeover last year. But no matter what color scheme you have, a few holiday elements will easily up your Christmas decor game! My Kitchen Nook "After" What did I change? Only a few elements - 3 to be specific! 1. Our Master Bedroom Progress: We have a Bed!
Remember when we sort of, accidentally, came up with a new master bedroom scheme? Well it's starting to take shape! NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SPONSORED POST BUT A 100% HONEST REVIEW! We chose a mattress and the winner was Casper! My hubby did a LOT of online research including websites like "Sleep like the Dead", an unbiased and independent reviewer of mattresses. We also hit mattress stores to figure out the kind of bed we wanted and actually FEEL what the different options of foam, spring and hybrid were like. Those trips led us to a list of factors our new mattress had to have: No sinking in, mud-like feeling Foam only - no springs that we would eventually feel No movement transfer (I get up about twice a night and my hubby knew exactly when those times were!) The ... [ Read More ]
