To my Canadian friends and family, Happy Thanksgiving!!!
While today’s post was going to be about a tutorial I had worked on, my little one became sick over the weekend so today I wanted to focus on being grateful – it is Thanksgiving after all!
So while this weekend didn’t go quite how we planned, we still gathered to celebrate the occasion which is something we need to do more often. (Do you feel that way too?) Life always seems to get too busy but I love getting together with friends and family and catching up. And in a world that, in my opinion, has gone bat-crap-crazy lately, I think an appreciation of the people you heart the most should be relished. It’s all too easy to take for granted! Not too long ago my mother had quite a few surgeries where I thought, “that’s it, we’re losing her”, and lo-and-behold, she’s here, alive and doing amazing. There aren’t a lot of those types of miracles. Or maybe the news is so clouded that we never hear many.
One thing I do want to say is a big thank you to YOU, my readers. My little blog is a piece of the internet that I covet, work hard at and hope you enjoy. You will never know how honoured I am that you stop by to see what I’ve been up to!
Wherever you are in the world, even if today isn’t Thanksgiving for you, think about all the wonderful things in your life. Turn off the news for a minute and be thankful for your little corner of the world which I hope is peaceful and happy. It’s not where you live but who you surround yourself with that makes life amazing.
And with that, I’ll sign off as I’m being asked for a piece of toast which of course will prolong bedtime for a certain 3 year old 😉
