PHEW!!! I’m still in recovery mode from the “One Room Challenge” that just ended. Have you gone to see all of the room transformations by the way? I’m still making my way through them and they are SO GOOD!! Last week I revealed our newly made over bedroom for our little girl and I was so pleased with how it turned out. And I’m happy to report our little girl LOVES IT! But in revealing all of the goodness last week, I didn’t reveal any of the details on where I picked up all of my goodies! So today I’m going to tell you everything!
Let me start with my 3 favourite items in the space. First up, the bed!
It looks like a daybed doesn’t it? But it’s really IKEA’s MINNEN bed frame . The trick is that I purchased two of these bed frames and used both headboards to create this daybed look! It’s not a total waste of two footboards though, I promise! In order to have a play space in this room, I could only use one bed BUT, for sleepovers, I can easily remove the tables, dismantle the current bed frame and assemble two beds from the two bed frames I purchased to accommodate another kiddo. I should mention that the bed frames are REALLY easy to put together so the whole process would be easy peasy!
I’m still swooning over this rug from Home Depot . It’s 8′ x 10′ in size and it’s not only beautiful, but the busy pattern makes it completely practical for a kid space!
Did you see the chairs I picked out for the little play area? I’m currently having a love affair with Acapulco chairs and I found two of these pink ones at one of my favourite haunts, HomeSense.
While those are my 3 favourite room purchases, that’s not to say I didn’t love the rest of the goodies I picked up for the space! Here is the complete source list:
- Bed Frame and Mattress
- Play Tables
- Area Rug
- Mirror
- Hat Hooks
- Chairs
- Dog Fabric / Curtain Fabric / Artwork Display Fabric
- Hex Wall Storage Shelving
- Artwork Display Shelving
- Hanging Planters
If there’s anything I’ve missed or something you’d like more info on, let me know!
Now I’m off to take a nap…zzz…
