My day job is very progressive where they encourage you to work in an environment where you work best. With my mother ill and the commute getting longer, I decided home was the best place for me to work. However I quickly discovered that working with my laptop on the couch was NOT the answer. My neck and back can attest to that. So when AnthroDesk asked me to review their adjustable standing desk I jumped at the chance. And spoiler alert, my neck and back thank me every day!
AnthroDesk sponsored this post however my review is honest and all thoughts are my own.
I got mail!
This box came in the mail for me and I got excited! But I didn’t want to put the cart before the horse. I got my handy helper to help me build the desk converter to test this baby out!
The Assembly
Putting this adjustable desk together took an allen key and about 10 minutes. Seriously.
I work with a laptop so I didn’t need the monitor shelf but I love that this product accommodates all types of computers and set-ups. To set up my new system, all that it involved was installing 4 posts, sliding the keyboard shelf overtop each post and doing a quick tighen. (My little helper took care of the instructions while I took care of the assembly)
The Test!
Are you wondering why the keyboard tray was set so low? (Guess who tested out my new toy first?!)
The Verdict?
I did test it for myself for the record and my only criticism would be it’s a manual adjustable desk so you have to shimmy the shelf up or down to get the height you want. Having that functionality motorized would make it a bit easier but that doesn’t stop me from using it – in fact I use it every day! Working from home as been an eye opening experience and you don’t realize the crappy posture you keep or how you crane your neck for 8 hours a day. You only notice it when the pain hits and it hit for me! But having a desk that forces me to stand is pretty life-changing if you ask me. Plus I love that it is light enough to move around the house. Sometimes I work in our guest room, sometimes in our dining room or in our official office. It’s nice to have that flexibility! And it’s also nice that it adjusts to any person’s height – including my kiddo’s 🙂

I bought one of these and it has been a lifesaver working from home! You also burn more calories standing (or to I tell myself)! Thanks for sharing.
